The Versagel® M1600 is a patent-protected gel which is based on gelling hydrocarbons in such a manner as to promote improved skin occlusivity and TEWL (trans epidermal water loss). The product enhances moisturization, has excellent suspension ability, has custom rheology or flow capability, is thermally stable and easy to use. Clinical studies with gelled mineral oil have shown that moisturization, as measured by TEWL, improves 53% even though the gel contains > 90% mineral oil.

Versagel M 1600 is a gel that has many uses in cosmetics, including: 

• Color cosmetics: Versagel M 1600 is used in products such as lipstick, lip gloss, mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, bronzer, foundation, and concealer. 

• Skin care: Versagel M 1600 is used in products such as moisturizers, gels, oils, lotions, creams, scrubs, balms, exfoliators, and serums. 

• Sun care: Versagel M 1600 is used in products such as suntan oils and sunblock/sunscreen. 

• Hair care: Versagel M 1600 is used in products such as treatments, serums, oils, conditioners, and styling products. 

• Fragrances: Versagel M 1600 is used in fragrances. 

• Soap and bath products: Versagel M 1600 is used in soap and bath products. 

Versagel M 1600 is thermally stable, easy to use, and has excellent suspension ability. It's also compatible with most chemical ingredients, including cyclomethicone and phenyl trimethicone.
