Sunflower oil is pressed from the seeds of the sunflower plant (Helianthus annuus). It contains high amounts of the essential fatty acid, linoleic acid. Some sunflowers are grown to contain high amounts of oleic acid. Sunflower oil that comes from these plants is called high-oleic acid sunflower oil.

Features

Because of its high fatty acid concentration, sunflower oil has great emollient benefits. Emollients provide a protective barrier to moisturize, soften, and smooth the hair. And its light texture means sunflower oil easily penetrates the hair shaft to lock in hydration, combating dry hair and damage.there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that sunflower oil can whiten the skin.
