VP K-90, or polyvinylpyrrolidone K-90, is a linear, nonionic, hygroscopic, amorphous polymer that's soluble in water and organic solvents. It's pH stable and can form hard, transparent, glossy films. It has adhesive and cohesive properties and can be plasticized with water and most common organic plasticizers. It's also considered physiologically inert.

PVP K-90 is used in many industries, including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, dishwashing, fabric care, household cleaning, and industrial and institutional cleaning: 

Cosmetics

As a film former in hair styling products, as an emulsion stabilizer in creams and lotions, and as a dispersant for hair colorants 

Pharmaceuticals

As an adhesive, thickener, and suspension stabilizer in medicine, and in toothpastes and mouthwashes 

Cleaning

In dishwashing, fabric care, household cleaning, and industrial and institutional cleaning applications 

PVP K-90 is available as a white, free-flowing powder or a clear aqueous solution.
